Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect the minimum we need to build you a meal plan, we don't sell your data, and you can ask for it back — or gone — at any time. The long version follows.
01

Who we are

“Savour”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Savour Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We're the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

If you have any questions about this policy or the way we handle your data, email privacy@savour.app.

02

What we collect

Waitlist: when you join the waitlist we store your email address, the page you signed up from, and the browser you used. That's it — no marketing tracking pixels, no third-party fingerprinting.

App account: when the app launches and you create an account we'll additionally store the choices you make during onboarding — your supermarket, budget, dietary preferences, meal vibes and cooking appliances — so we can generate your weekly plan.

Usage data: we log basic, aggregated interaction data (which screens are visited, whether plans succeed or fail) so we can spot bugs and improve the product. This data is not tied to your email or profile.

03

Why we use it

We use the data above to send you your waitlist invite, to generate your weekly meal plan, and to keep the service running. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers.

Our legal basis under UK GDPR is either consent (for the waitlist and marketing emails you've opted into), contract (for delivering the app to you once you have an account), or legitimate interest (for keeping the service secure and working correctly).

04

Who we share it with

We use a small set of trusted service providers to run Savour: Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in the EU), Vercel (web hosting), and an email delivery provider for transactional messages. Each of these processes data only on our instructions.

We'll only disclose personal data to authorities where required by law and after we've satisfied ourselves the request is valid.

05

How long we keep it

Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them, or until the waitlist closes and we've sent you an invite. Account data is kept for as long as you have a Savour account, plus 30 days after you delete it (to allow you to change your mind).

06

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, or object to how we're using it. Email privacy@savour.app and we'll respond within 30 days.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you think we've handled your data poorly — although we'd appreciate the chance to fix it first.

07

Cookies

The Savour website uses one first-party cookie to remember your preferences (e.g. dismissing a banner) and one to protect the waitlist form from spam. We do not run advertising cookies or third-party trackers on this site.

08

Changes to this policy

We'll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page whenever we make a change. If the change is material, we'll email you before it takes effect.
